Dawn Rivard has grabbed international attention as one of the most sought after hair and make-up designers. She is an expert on wigs, hair and makeup and her designs have been seen around the world including New Zealand, Europe and the US. Her creations have been seen in hundreds of theatrical shows, plays, operas, CD covers, magazines, TV shows and regularly on the record-breaking TV show, Canadian Idol.

Her skills helped build Broadway’s Ragtime, Sunset Blvd., Showboat and the Canadian Opera Company’s world premiere of Mario and the Magician and more than 20 other Canadian Opera Company's productions.

She created the wigs and make-up for the Marriott Theatre’s Joseph Jefferson Award winning productions, (Chicago’s highest theatrical honor for artistic achievement), of Miss Saigon, 1776, Funny Girl, Cats and Showboat as well as 8 of their other productions. Also, she won an Arizona Award of Excellence for Hair and Make-up Design for the production of Cats.

In addition, she has served as the Designer of Wigs and Make-up for the critically acclaimed Beauty & the Beast in Germany, Austria and Switzerland, as well as Grease in Germany. She earned her first Emmy Award as a member of both the hair and make-up teams for the film Feast of All Saints based on the novel by Anne Rice. Currently, she designs for the distinguished programs at the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor, MI and for the illustrious Florentine Opera Company in Milwaukee, WI.
